Thank you for entering the 2016 Bards and Sages Writing Competition. Please make sure to send in your entries NO LATER than October 31, 2016.
All entries should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org and use the subject line 2016 Bards and Sages Writing Competition.
Make sure to send your entry from the same email address you used to pay your reading fee (Whether paid via PayPal or through donation to DonorsChoose.org. This will help us make sure that we are matching your entries to your reading fee.
Make sure that the title of your submitted story matches the title you entered when you paid your reading fee.
Please note that only unpublished stories are eligible for the competition.
We will not be able to refund reading fees if you decide to withdraw a story from the competition or fail to send in your entries before the deadline.
Winners and selected Honorable Mentions will be given the opportunity to have their winning stories published in Bardic Tales and Sage Advice IX when it is published in 2017. Acceptance of this offer is not a requirement of claiming prizes.
Entries should be sent as Word.doc, Word.docx, or Word compatible format attachments.
Do NOT use the tab key to create paragraph indents. You should use the word processing program's styles to properly create paragraphs.
As we are a United States publisher, please use American spelling and punctuation (such as using smart quotes instead of single quotes).
If you would like to have the reviewer's scorecard and comments sent to you at the end of the competition period, please make sure to note this in the body of your email when you send in your submissions. We only send out the scores upon request.
Do not send biographies or lists of previous publication credits with your submission. This has no bearing on the review process. If you are selected as a winner, we will request the information at that time.
