In the previous installment, Alex and Craig seem to finally bury the hatchet (and no, not in each other). But just when things seem to be going right, Alex’s sire reminds her that he hasn’t forgotten about her.
In our last installment, poor Alex discovers that the Heralds have peculiar plans for her…and an even more peculiar sense of humor. But humor might not be enough to save the “Justice League” after Heather’s new protégé locates a Nosferatu Sabbat pack. Or was it the other way around?

Today we have a guest blog post from Ashley Mackler-Paternostro, author of The Milstone Tapes.
In our last installment, Alex forgives Heather’s mentor for trying to kill her and helps rescue his daughter from a pack of Sabbat vampires. But as is generally the case, Alex discovers that no good deed goes unpunished…particularly when the Heralds are involved.
In the previous installment, Alex, Heather, and Ralph buy a house and meet their new neighbor Jason…who just so happens to be a werespider. Now after a brief respite, an old rival from Alex’s past has shown up. But it isn’t Alex he’s after. Of course, that doesn’t mean she won’t get dragged into it.

In this installment, Heather and Ralph feel they have come up with the perfect solution to the group’s problems. You can guess how that works out.
Another day, another visit with Alex and company.
