Today’s book review from Chewy is for Chew Chew the Food Chain Train by Janet Michelson.
There’s nothing worse than a copy-cat (unless it’s a real cat). In this case, someone has used my name without my permission. I was angry at first. Okay, more hurt than angry. I couldn’t believe someone would be so disrespectful to a nice doggie like me. Then I read the book. I see they meant no harm. The book is for small children, and the Chew Chew in question is actually a train made from food. I like food! I would have liked it better if the food was meat, but it’s fruits and veggies. The train teaches children to choose fruits and veggies instead of junk food. The pictures are drawn by a real artist, and they are cute. Next time they should write a book about meat. Lots and lots of meat!
A note from Chewy’s Mom: I’m a little annoyed by this review. I think the comment about a “real artist” was directed at me. Yesterday I asked Chewy’s opinion on some sketches I did (OK, they were stick figures) and instead of saying anything he had an accident on the carpet (though I think it wasn’t an “accident” and was in fact his statement of opinion regarding my stick figures.) *sob*
